Senior Game Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Game Developer to lead the development of engaging, high-performance mobile games. You will be responsible for architecting systems, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver polished gaming experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile games from concept to release
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code
• Take ownership of core gameplay systems and technical architecture
• Optimize game performance (CPU, memory, rendering) for mobile devices
• Collaborate with game designers, artists, and QA teams
• Mentor and guide junior developers and interns (especially in structured programs like PIXL)
• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks and bugs
• Ensure best practices in coding, version control, and documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Unity (C#)
• Solid understanding of game development principles (OOP, data structures, algorithms)
• Experience with 2D/3D game development pipelines
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization techniques for mobile
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Experience with debugging and profiling tools
• Understanding of physics systems, animations, and UI integration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping at least 1–2 mobile games (iOS/Android)
• Knowledge of multiplayer systems, networking, or backend integration
• Familiarity with monetization strategies (ads, IAPs)
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience mentoring or leading small teams

• Ownership and accountability for deliverables
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with AR/VR or emerging technologies
• Knowledge of shaders and graphics programming
