Creative Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Concepting & Storytelling
  • Lead UA creative concepting, defining narrative, messaging, and format strategy before production.
  • Apply strong storytelling principles to maximize engagement within the first few seconds of every ad.
  • Develop clear creative briefs and review all assets to ensure high artistic quality and storytelling impact.
Hands-On Art Production
  • Produce high-performing UA creatives (static, motion, and video) and own App Store and Google Play visual assets.
  • Maintain production quality, brand consistency, and a reusable asset library to improve efficiency.
  • Contribute directly to creative production during high-volume periods to ensure timely delivery.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and mentor a small creative team, managing briefs, reviews, feedback, and delivery timelines.
  • Provide clear, actionable creative direction aligned with concepts, storytelling, and campaign objectives.
  • Onboard new team members, uphold creative standards, and identify skill gaps to support hiring and development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Align creative production with UA campaign goals, channel plans, and launch timelines.
  • Coordinate with ASO, product, and live-ops teams to deliver timely, relevant store and campaign assets.
  • Ensure creatives reflect current monetization initiatives and manage external vendors when additional production support is needed.

REPORTING & COLLABORATION
Reports to:  Head of UA / Creative Head / Studio Head.
Manages:  In-house creative team of 2–4 (designers, motion artists, video editors).
Collaborates with:  UA managers, ASO, product, live-ops, monetisation, and external creative vendors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3–6 years in creative production for mobile UA, with a strong hands-on art background and demonstrable output (portfolio required).
  • A practiced artistic eye and storytelling instinct; able to evaluate a creative on visual quality, narrative structure, and emotional impact, not just performance metrics.
  • Experience writing and directing narrative-driven ad creatives for mobile games across static, motion, and short-form video formats.
  • Experience producing store assets for iOS App Store and Google Play (icons, screenshots, preview videos).
  • Experience managing or mentoring a small creative team,  briefs, feedback sessions, and delivery timelines.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, After Effects, and Premiere Pro (or equivalent).
  • Strong grasp of mobile gaming creative formats: narrative hooks, gameplay loops, UGC-style, social proof, and playable concepts.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience across multiple game genres (hypercasual, casual, mid-core) and how storytelling approach and creative tone differ across them.
  • Hands-on store creative A/B testing (SplitMetrics, StoreMaven, or native console tools) and familiarity with ASO creative best practices.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted production tools (Midjourney, RunwayML, Adobe Firefly) with a formed view on where they fit without replacing craft.
  • Basic video production skills: scripting, storyboarding, or directing UGC or live-action creative shoots.
  • Experience briefing and managing external creative vendors or freelancers.
