Trainee Data Analyst

This program is designed for fresh graduates and early-career professionals who want to build a successful career in Data Analytics. As a Trainee Data Analyst, you will receive structured training, hands-on experience with real business data, and mentorship from experienced professionals. You'll work alongside cross-functional teams, learn industry-standard tools and techniques, and develop the analytical mindset needed to solve real-world business problems. A market-competitive stipend will be provided throughout the training program, along with the opportunity to secure a permanent position based on your performance and successful completion of the program.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in all training sessions, workshops, and learning activities throughout the Pixls Program.
- Complete assigned learning modules, assessments, and practical exercises within the given timelines.
- Work on real-world case studies and hands-on projects to develop analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Practice data cleaning, data validation, and data analysis using industry-standard tools.
- Develop proficiency in Excel, SQL, and other analytical tools introduced during the program.
- Learn to create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
- Collaborate with mentors and fellow trainees on group activities and learning assignments.
- Apply feedback from mentors and continuously improve technical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Present project findings and analytical insights to mentors and stakeholders in a clear and structured manner.
- Demonstrate professionalism, curiosity, teamwork, and a willingness to learn throughout the program.
- Complete all training milestones and evaluations to qualify for potential full-time employment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, Data Cleaning, Basic Formulas).
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing data.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
- Ability to break down complex problems into structured, manageable steps.
- Excellent attention to detail with a habit of validating data before presenting conclusions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain data and insights in simple language to non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable making decisions and working with incomplete information.
- Quick learner with a strong curiosity for business, user behavior, and data.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Nice to Have
- Basic knowledge of Python (Pandas, NumPy).
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
- Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis concepts.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts and reporting.
- Understanding of KPIs, business metrics, and performance reporting.
- Participation in hackathons, research projects, or data competitions.
